What has Chic Aid been up to

It is becoming a bit of a habit, me apologising for not having updated my blog for so long, so I won't bother this time. Suffice to say I have been busy - both personally and with Chic Aid!

Some of you are aware that Chic Aid was closed for two weeks at the beginning of August; I had a holiday! 16 family members spent a fortnight in a chateau between Tolouse and Carcasonne in the south of France. We actually managed to get some sun down there and with no mobile phone or internet access, I had a proper break - I even read a couple of books, something I used to do a lot, but don't seem to do so much with my attention being given to either my phone or the computer. There are so many gadgets to make your life easier today, but the gadgets seem to take up time, leaving you (or certainly me!) feeling as though there is less time to do anything :-(

Having a holiday takes up a lot more time than the 2 weeks that you are actually away; there is clothes shopping to do and packing before you go, then when you get back, you need to adjust to fit back into your daily routine ;-)

Meanwhile, there have been The School Holidays. Joe has been very good; 2 weeks in France with 4 cousins and a swimming pool helped to occupy him, as did a week in Wales with his Dad and another week spent at his dad's house, but now, he is bored. I am so looking forward to him going back to school on Wednesday.

On to Chic Aid, I really have been busy here too! For a long time, I have felt frustrated whenever I see a sports personality on the news using grey crutches following a temporary injury; surely a member of a sports team would want to demonstrate their alliegance to the club they play for, despite being temporarily unable to play. With this in mind, and interest in the idea from Jimmy Gittins, a former profesional Rugby League player, I approached HMS-Vilgo about customising the Ellipse designer crutches for use by injured players or team supporters. Chic Aid is delighted to introduce Ellipse crutches in Club Colours. Hopefully, I will soon have photos of supporters included on the Customer photos page of the Website (HINT HINT
